Subiksha Shri


Subiksha Shri, a current freshman at Cupertino High School, began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of five, captivated by the stories and magic the art form holds. She started her training under Guru Smt. Mohana Narayan has continued her dance journey with Guru Smt. Rani Sunil is deepening her passion and understanding of the art.
Over the years, Subiksha has performed in numerous solo and group presentations across the Bay Area, strengthening both her knowledge and passion for Bharatanatyam. She has also taken part in several competitions, including Eka, OSAAT, MANCA, Maithry, BATA, and most recently, the esteemed Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival.
To deepen her understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of Bharatanatyam, Subiksha has completed the SAMPADA Level 3 exams, earning distinction at each level.
In addition to dance, Subiksha pursues Carnatic music and Taekwondo, where she holds a 2nd-degree black belt. She is also an accomplished public speaker, having won several accolades in Forensics speech competitions. Recently, her commitment to environmental stewardship was recognized when she received the Student of the Year award from NatureBridge, honoring her leadership and dedication.
Wherever life takes her, Subiksha firmly believes that dance will always remain a part of her identity.
